Looking at cleaning up my grill and don't think it is chromed, anodized maybe? Tried to polish but wont come up, might just be 50 years of grime. Anyone know if these are cast aluminum or pot metal, also the inside of the grill is painted a silver colour and was wondering if anyone what colour it is. You can see from my pic where the polished/chromed edge stops and the paint starts. Thanks Jim

Doug (GrtDanes) gave me a call and said to use extra fine steel wool. Worked great! The anodizing had blotchy marks all over it that polish wouldn't touch and I didn't want to be too aggressive and end up removing the anodizing. The steel wool was just enough to remove the stains without harming the anodizing. Thanks Doug, I O U a
I'll mark that beer on the wall buddy.A couple more and I
will have to fly up there to collect.
