Long time viewer of this site so I figured it was time to share our car. One family car and is currently going through a ground up resto. Here's a pic from about 12 years ago and hope to add more as the restoration continues
Ps if anyone has a line on reasonably priced 454 emblems please let me know
I love it! My first car was a 1970 Impala 4 door hard top with 350 2bbl. I think the 1970 models- Full size Chev and CP- tend to get overlooked compared to the 69's. Last of the high compression B bodies! Is it a 454 originally? Nice "proud" stance!
Welcome Braden, I think I met you and your dad at the High River show in Sept. I've met your dad a number of times before and sold him a few things. I was showing my 70 454 Laurentian.
Hey Braden, have you & your dad sent for the GM documentation on the car? It's available through Vintage Vehicle Services in Oshawa ON, and will list the build date, selling dealer, the options and how many Parisienne convertibles were built, etc.

Also of note there were a couple mid-year changes on the 70 Pontiac's. One was the change from throttle linkage to cable, and the other was concerning the Astro-Vents. Early models the entire nozzle is plastic chrome, whereas the later ones the nozzle is black with just a silver lip. I've only seen the car once and can't remember if it was early or late build.
That was us at the car show! Any luck on selling the Laurentian? We have not sent in for the GM paperwork yet but I will be sure to do that in the coming months. not sure of build date, i will have to go have another close look at the car. I believe it has a throttle cable.
It is originally a 350 car but does have a 454 under the hood now (anyone want to trade 350v emblems for 454 ?). It's getting a few upgrades as we go, 4 wheel discs, and a 12bolt. Frame and body mated back together and engine is in.
Looking forward to sharing more of the restoration with you guys
Well i have been busy putting the car back together, I don't have many pics of that process right now! Front end is nearly back together, ordered a centerlink and idler arm and currently sourcing front disc brake parts.
Ahh, another late year built car. It'll be past the mid-year change from throttle linkage to cable, and the Astro-Vents changed from a chrome nozzle to a black nozzle with chrome just around the lip. There's a 454 throttle cable on ebay right now for you, they're extremely hard to find.
Well ive rotated it 3 times and it still comes up upside down.
Hahh....sure your not from australia?

Well why would I finish one project when I can start another? 68-82 corvette disc brake swap. The corvette steering arm is on the left. You can use the original arm with a slight modification
I bought a c3 corvette disc/disc master as I also put rear discs on. The car is now just waiting on exhaust and a bit more final assembly and it should be road worthy!
progress has been slow. Life keeps getting in the way. I have decided to swap the th350 for a mildly built 700r4. I found a company that makes custom cross members for impalas for the conversion so everything bolts right up
