I've met him a couple times, nice guy, spent years & big bucks doing this car - he did the same thing with a 69 or 70 Judge prior to the Ford
I guess it's anticipation more than the realization that motivates him
Yeah, and maybe a gasser build has a more limited market. Don't get me wrong, I think it's very cool, but I wonder if the fact that it's built like a 60's era drag car would make it harder to sell. Plus, not the optimal time of year.
Could just be that the idea of getting your money back out of a build is becoming a thing of the past. Might be going back to more of an 'average' man's hobby now. (??)
I have seen that 1960 Olds wagon a number of times and it is more of a "Rat Rod" type of car. Still, i always noticed big crowds around that 60 wagon. probably because it is so different.

Hard to sell Canadian based cars on ebay, most Americans can't be bothered with taking something across the border unless they are really "in lust" with what you are selling. Most also don't have enough time (during the span of the auction) to price shipping across the border. Its a good place to find buyers though, I sold a project car in Helsinki and a finished car in Switzerland.
I like that Ford done like it is (I think that says 501 on the fender, is that the motor?), the wagon I would like better with a stock front end.
Don

Mahone Bay, NS Still not old enough to need an automatic
I have seen the Ford a few times at the Barrie Wednesday show. The engine started out as a 429, C6 3sp. auto. Sounds mean. Beautiful workmanship on this build.
