Is the correct battery clip for a 1964 Beamount the small clip on the left had side of the attached pictures? Recently I bought the right had side clip from a Chevlle guy and I thought was getting the left had side type battery clip assuming Beaumont and Chevelle used the same clip.
Does anyone know for sure what is the correct battery clip for a 1964 Beamount, I believe it is the left one in the attched pictures but I am not 100% certain.
I cannot provide an answer to your question, but the left clip is the same as the one on my alternator bracket for my negative cable, and the right clip is the same as the one attached to my motor mount for the positive cable enroute to the starter. That's for my 1970 small block.
This may be related in some way to the fact that the standard 45 amp/hr battery has the negative post inboard (towards the engine) while the 61 & 70 amp/hr batteries have the negative post outboard towards the fender. Yes, they use different cables between the standard & h.d. batteries because of the post orientation.
