Well I am sorry to say, the car you are looking for no longer exists, at least at any kind of reasonable price, considering what needs to be done to make it a decent car. Just like 49-51 Merc 2drs, or Model A's, or 32-40 Fords, or any other desirable cars. I first wanted (8 years ago) a 55 Chevy, as my retirement project, and ... well ... no. Thankfully I found my 56 Canadian Pontiac, which was undervalued, yet even better than a 55-7 Chevy (since all running gear is available at reasonable prices but it looks even better than the Chevy, especially the dashboard - and the hood, and the headlights, and the rear quarters, and the rear bumper, and ...).
My
btw love your gasser, maybe some day I will get the balls to put a straight axle under my front end.

I 'd consider selling my 1957 chevy 2dr 210 hardtop. Somewhere in my old posts there are pic's. should not be hard to find since I really don't have that many posts. I think it was when I was selling a 57 chevy handyman 2dr wagon. It may be worth checking out. Thanks....
Terry, a very good friend of mine has a 1957 Chev Bel Air two door post (coupe) that he has owned for over 30 years. My buddy did the body properly with correct panels but the full quarters have to be finished off. There is no way to tell the floor, the rockers and quarters were ever done, that is how good the work is. The car is complete with every thing required to finish the car. The car is a 283/stick car and is sitting on the completed rolling chassis. There is still much work to do but the nasty kind of body work is about 80% done. I will PM you my good friends name and phone number. Cheers. George

Amazing the lack of availability and extortionate prices for these cars nowdays. In 1969 I traded ,even- steven, a 55 BelAir 2 dr. HT without engine and trans. in really good shape for the time for a McCullough chain saw that didn't run . Seemed a good deal at the time. Had a '55 BelAir moredoor with a 327 I sold for $350.00 in 1971 also. Wish I had either or both now.
You still looking? I have a 57 Bel Air two door hardtop. Low mileage 350, Muncie 4 speed. Your choice of regular or fenderwell headers. New 1/4's, inner and outer rockers, body supports. New: Danchuk harness, fuzzies, rubbers, dash trim and knobs, window regulator, windshield, NOS rocker moldings, Bel Air radio block off, etc. $6000 new parts. All side trim bumpers, grille bar, etc. Front fenders metal finished perfect. Needs minor front floor pan work yet and one inner rear wellwell patch. Trunk solid. Rear shock crossmember installed with new shocks. Front suspension and steering was new before it went in the body shop. Have a 62 Chevy power m/c and bracket to go on. Straight front bumper, rechromed rear. $12,000. Skirts, front and rear bumper guards, and trunk trim available for more $$ Can get better pics if serious. 3 zero 6 - 7two8 - 567three.

The El Camino I have is far from mint but mostly complete. All the exterior trim is with the car. Biggest hassle is the wiring(or lack of). Seeing how it's going to be a "Patina Shop Truck" authenticity is not important. Will certainly not look like that beauty of Dons.
The elco trim is hard to find and expensive so you are lucky to have it complete. All the elco only trim is also stainless, so great to work with compared to chrome or anodized. Thanks for comments on the 59, I sold it. I'd own another 59 though, love the fins, it will make a great shop truck. Needs a 348 4 speed to be a real truck?
Don
