Super sweet and if this car is not sold in a day, then there is something seriously wrong with the world. This person wants to trade for a run of the mill 4x4 vehicle ??????. A beautiful sweet looking time machine and i can only pray to the old car gods, that it does not end up in a house of horrors.

1966 Pontiac Acadian

condition: excellent
cylinders: 6 cylinders
fuel: gas
paint color: yellow
title status: clean
transmission: automatic

1966 Pontiac Acadian, small in line 6 cyl, automatic
Family member owned since new, bought in Vancouver in 1966, have most original documentation. was running until a couple of months ago when it was stored while moving, think it needs a fuel pump.
Please don't waste my time with stupid offers, this car is rare and in great shape, probably one of the last and cleanest unaltered originals around. serious inquiries only.

I'd really like to get something like this to promote both my websites (this and 2doorpost.com). So much uncertainty in our lives right now financially. Maybe in the spring I can get something like this. One more year of University for my son and that will take some of the load off, then it's just a roof for the house, windows.....

He says it's an unaltered original. I am betting it won't be that way for long. Too bad...

That car is a perfect example of a relatively unmolested 66` Acadian. The only thing missing is the Invader emblems. The radio can go; as it wasn't original and the dog dish caps are wrong year. Just saying.

Well I find it remarkable and historically significant to see such a car for sale in a predominantly original condition, the car has absolutely ZERO appeal to me. These type of cars basically blend into what even they are parked in front of, the Nissan Micra of 1966. Wouldn't have given it a second look in 1966 won't give it a second look in 2015.

Brian, who posted it isn't too far away, but he is sort of tough to deal with. He doesn't want to take anything for doing it, doesn't drink ice caps so doesn't use a Timmie's card and is just a good guy. He checked out my oldest daughter's car about 4 years ago and she is still driving it. He may well pipe up.

It is interesting and good that we all have different tastes.  I have a similar car that at car shows 95% won't take a second look at and it doesn't bother me at all.  There are cars on this forum that would hold the same amount of interest to me too but what I like about it is the guy that has the ugliest styled vehicle in my opinion can still have the same amount of enjoyment as the guy who has the popular ones like the old faithful Camaros or 56 Chevies.  The good thing with our uglier ones at least they are alot cheaper to buy.

He had it listed in September. Was looking for offers. He told me that his highest offer was 6000 at the time.

Guessing then it would take a full 6500 to drive it away.

Did Invader ever have beltline trim, thought it was Canso only? Looks to have headrests on the split bench too!! Just need more money, more space, for more cars.hmm

The side chrome is the same as my 66 4dr. The hood script and center windsplit seem to be missing as well as the invader scripts

That's the beauty of Canadian Poncho and old cars in general. We all have different tastes. There's lots of cars that people go gaga over that I too don't take an extra step sideways to look at. I'm glad we don't all like the same cars! One guy loves 50's cars, won't look at anything newer, next guy won't look at a Dodge, next guy won't look at a 2 door post, we are fortunate in Canada that we pretty much have at least some sort of car for every type of car nut out there.
