153.9 out here in Fraser Valley BC, Vancouver is about $1.70 liter due to extra transit tax. Heard on news the most expensive fuel in North America, lucky us??!! I suppose it goes with our real estate prices too.
I usually just refuse to even look, but I put some Shell Nitro in the 67 yesterday, $1.74. I'm assuming it'll be $2.00 before long in the GTA for premium.

You do know that for the last few months Costco's 91 octane has only been 10 cents/l above their 87 octane price. The major brands mark it up about 26 cents/l.
Thank god the car is parked! You don't want to know the premium cost around here. Reg is 1.69 ltr! I'm sure prices will be back down next summer and we can all cruise around for cheap...
They also provide a charge card that gives at least a penny per US gallon discount, if you use it. I look for Costco or Sam's Club, we use a lot of 93 octane - but when driving something that can live on 87, it's not worth diverting to refuel, so I use the Gas Buddy card.
As an offset to rising gas prices, buy some oil stocks.

Who would have thought that sky high taxes on gas, killing pipelines, investment destroying regulations, open warfare by Ottawa against Canadian oil workers and their industry would result in higher gas prices? But at least russian tyrants and middle eastern terrorists are benefiting from high energy prices, just not Canada.
Many Canadian oil stocks have doubled, some have gone up 500%. There is a shortage of oil and gas workers too. Everyone likes low fuel prices, everyone enjoys buying cheaper goods made in China, hard to buy a cel phone or vehicle made in Canada. When prices go up, some people benefit, some lose, same when prices go down. Its complicated.
Canada will never control the worlds energy choices, the USA, Europe, China, etc will decide that. We had to stop clubbing baby seals down here due to world influence and because they were cute. Not because they were endangered. I miss my flipper pie. Next thing they are working on is to get rid of oil.

And coal is now $300/ton. Who'da thought?
Also there's going to be a world shortage of magnesium early next year. Magnesium is a vital part of aluminum production. Most comes out of China and apparently they've had to shut down the mines due to power shortages.
In brisbane australia. Our weekly cycle is anywhere from $1.42-1.82 per litre.

We're 135.9 Today I was coming back home and noticed the truck stop had a sign out, 5 cents/litre off every Thursday. When someone is willing to give me $3.50 cents off on every fill up they've got business from me. I'll take a free coffee and donut once a week!
