'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Looks like a 1958 engine as they didn't use spark plug cooling ports until 1959.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure all of those #811 blocks used a rope style rear main seal. (more prone to leaking compared to a regular rubber seal)
It would be a good engine if you were trying to get the right date code for a 58 Chevy or Pontiac but if you were going to use aftermarket heads, the lack of spark plug cooling holes creates a potential leakage problem.
It's not the most desirable 348 block but here's a link to a stroked #811 block that managed to pump out 650 hp on pump gas...
