YES   if car is not sagging...  with normal ride height they will turn fine    probably touch at back inner at full lock (don't turn full lock)

I have run some bigger tires on the front on several of my cars-8" rims etc..When I finish my next car with new rims etc.. it will have 7" front rims and narrower tires up front-unless you live in a warm climate with super nice streets the wider tires grab the road to much( ruts from semis etc)-just my opinion from experience

It seems to me if anything they might rub on the front sway bar on a full turn but I'm going by memory here.

If it's any help I have the Corvette wheels on my 64cs and have lots of clearance for the tires.

Hello all,
New to this forum and am considering purchasing a set of Cragar SS Super Sports for my 1964 Pontiac Parisienne CS. I'm wondering a couple of things, right now I've got 14 inch original steal rims.

The bolt pattern size is it 5 x 4.75? The other thing, I am wondering is rim width, what is best suited for my car, 14x 6 width or 7 inch?

Thanks for your advice.

I did that to a 63 , i once had. It drove great but I have a feeling that the offset and tire size put an awfull load on those old ball joints- till one gave out, and I was sitting on the ground.

Very nice, what do you have for wheels, size etc.  I am running 14's right now, but would like to put some RallyII or some Cragars, just unsure what would be best size and fit.

Thanks.

Vintage 1970 ET super torq thrusts.

I've restored them.

......JMO.....15" wheels look "clunky"....on x-frame cars...(58-64)....

If you are going racing....or off-roading...they will prolly work better....but just don't look right... AND front end parts and wheel/axle bearing life will be reduced,...if you actually plan on driving your car...

Also....a taller tire/wheel combo will give you slightly lower (numericaly) gear ratio.....which will allow a higher cruising speed......but decrease your off the line acceleration.....and if your engine/trans is stock....you will notice the difference...

I run a set of vintage American Racing 5 spokes on one of my 64's....(14 x 6's)...and they look just right...to me...

I'm rolling 15 inch rally II's with BFG Radial TA's and love how they look on my '63.  Plus, there's a lot more options for tires than if you're shopping for 14's.
