Ok here is another one up for sale priced a bit high but a very clean car. I have seen this car in person and the pictures do no justice for it at all. 1969 Pontiac Acadian, 46,000 original miles, original blue paint and body, original black vinyl top, flawless original ultra rare two tone blue bucket seat interior (trim code 737), floors and trunk are immaculate, original spare. Paint code 53B. Chrome is excellent as is glass. Frame off in 2010, frame powder coated black. New gas tank and Mallory 140 GPM electric fuel pump with Competition Engineering sump. ZZ502 with approx. 600 hp, better cam, 860 cfm Pro-Systems carb, Milodon 8 qt. pan, mini high torque starter, ceramic 2" Hooker Super Comp headers and 3 inch Magna Flow exhaust to behind rear tires. Auto Meter Monster tach with shift light, 4 under dash Auto Meter gauges. Aluminum rad. TCI Super Street Fighter Turbo 400, convertor, and floor shifter, plate style trans cooler. Mark Williams 12 bolt with 3.73:1 Eaton posi, c-clip eliminators. Custom built 3.5" steel driveshaft with 1350 joints. Complete Global West front end and Calvert/Rancho adjustable shocks, lowered 2" - awesome stance. Frame connector and Cal Tracs bars. Stainless Steel Brake Company front disc conversion and new master cylinder and prop valve. Steel 15" wheels with vintage hub caps, 195 60 R 15 BFG Radial T/A's on front, 235 60 R 15 Mickey Thompson ET STreets on back, lots of tread. Original AM radio works, dash and doors never cut. Ran the car once at Med Hat in Sept. 2015, ran 12.18 secs at 111 mph, spinning a little out of the hole through the mufflers, easily a high 11 second car, but too nice to race. Original St. Albert 6 cylinder car. Have GM Historical documentation. This car has only driven about 1200 km in the last 6 years!
Comes with new in box Borgeson manual steering box to replace Flaming River one now in car, Summit 3600 cfm dual electric fan, Meziere electric water pump, Ron Francis wiring relays and fan wiring harness. A true sleeper until you start the motor! Won Sponsor's Choice at Sept. 2015 Alberta Iron Indians all Pontiac show in Calgary. Appraised at $55k.

I purchased this car and really like it. Does any one know if the body side rub strip would have been factory or just a period add on say by the dealer. I am touching things up and trying to figure out if I should keep them or not.

gm docs would show if they were factory

pretty sure if they're metal the car was built with them, vinyl a later add on

very nice car!

Terry I had an old one back in the day and they were metal and bolted on and factory as far as i could tell. Congratulations on purchasing this awesome car totally envious of you, i had the pleasure of seeing and hearing it in person and all I could do was drool and dream.
