Car is being done as an L79 clone. 327, 3791362 ZI block, all the L79 goodies, Muncie 4 speed, 12 bolt with 3.73:1.

Chevy II was born Regal Red on red and will stay that way.

All GM stuff other than the exhaust and wheels and gauges.

Wow, does that bring back memories of the car I put together in the 80's. L79 clone, original Regal Red SS, M21, 3.73 gears!

Not all assembled yet in this old pic.

I ran it with either rallys and small caps, or mag style cover, or wires, depending on the mood!

Thanks, I was hoping it would be some inspiration for you!

Love those wheels, one of my favourite all time wheels.

You still have the "correct"  oval inserts for the rims  (not the round ones)   biggrin

I have a set of 4 of those Keystones from the same era with the same center caps. I would have preferred the early machined "K" caps but oh well. I bought them years ago from a guy that ran them on a 66 Skylark. When I asked about the oval inserts for the lug nuts he just looked at me funny. I had to go out and source them myself. I ordered them through Karbelt.

Anyone who thinks that's tacky should be banned!!! (Kidding of course, but that emblem is perfect!)

My first ever headliner. Took me two days mostly because I was scared to mess up.
