1966 Chevy II - 2 Door Post - $19,000 O.B.O. Alberta -403-318-9002

This was at the Red Deer Swap meet yesterday...4 speed....18 year old paint definitely  showed it's age, for me,I would repaint.....but a sweet 66.

It would be hard to build one for that price .  ( I'm about to start one myself)

Those rims look smaller than 14" or am I wrong ?

I would really like to know more details of this car but I won't put myself through the agony of even considering how good it could be.  Too many projects, not enough time.

Not necessarily.  Some Corvairs came with 5 bolt 13" wheels!

...or maybe even just 12 inch   ? This 1966 Chevy II doesn't appear to be a NOVA

Where did you find a chart showing 12 inch rims on a Chevy II? I don't think there ever was such a thing.

13" wheels were base equipment on Chevy II models except for V8s or the Nova SS through 1966. Even wagons. They were all 5-lug starting with the 64 models.

An elderly teacher had a Sandalwood Tan (same as the car for sale in Alberta) 66 Chevy II 100-series with 13" wheels back in 68 through 1971 at my old grade school. She retired in 1971 but as I recall she was already past retirement age. She taught the Special Needed class. The only option on her car was a Powerglide.

The colour on that duece for sale is Sandalwood Tan with a Cameo Beige 2-tone, a legit factory combination.

Carl,

Found it here....http://www.oldride.com/library/1966_chevrolet_nova.html

looks to be an error......

Checked https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/docs/gm-heritage-archive/vehicle-information-kits/Nova/1966-Chevrolet-Nova.pdf

page 6 General..........one 13" wheel avail and 3 -14" wheels, no mention of 12 inch.

Just went to run to the sun carshow in Myrtle Beach and that car would be priced at 25 U.S down here.

So Chevy ll came with 13" 5 bolt? and pic showing aftermarket rim(did they make 13x5 aftermarket?) or just with 13/5 stock on Corvair? Just asking/learning.

Wheels will be rusty/peely 14" Cragar SS with the centers painted black and stainless trim rings on them. Did this myself back in the day when they got too ugly to look at.

Greaser was there early apparently - the crowds were so heavy by the time I got there you had to be very patient with the < aisle blocker > types

The paint was glossy, but had a number of serious cracks that don't show up in the pics, so it wasn't exactly a bargain in my eyes.

I got there about 10:30 left about 12:30.....

looks great in the pictures, but as I said I would  repaint.

Could be a bargain if a person's  O.B.O. was acceptable by the seller, knowing the cost of painting.

But it is a nice car......

Seems a little pricey to me, given that it needs paint and given the cost of paint these days, but I have to remember we are competing against the American dollar these days, so take a reasonable Canadian price and add 25% to it...
