Looks like another seller who really doesn't want to sell     26,000 will buy a nice muscle car

I think it's the family trying to settle up an estate. I e-mailed the people and the daughter replied that it was her a Dad's car. I think the REASONABLE OFFER is in capitals for a reason

Reasonable offer is a "state of mind"        whoever appraised it in 33,900  must have added value for the oil undecoating

Here is the e-mail where they clarify the "only 67 remain" comment.

Hi Dave,

This car was my Dads, and the owner before him researched it and that was in the documentation that was given to my Dad when he purchased the car.

Apparently, the previous owner contacted GM and found out particulars and he determined that fact.

Nope ... didn't happen. Unless GM Historical Services has access to the world's motor vehicle data baseno. These cars ended up all over the place.

Long story SHORT.......NOBODY knows how many are left......PERIOD.

Any published figures are assumptions......and prolly NOT even close to accurate.

Does anybody have the actual 64 Custom Sport production #'s handy....(HT and conv't?)

Thanks for posting that....I'm sure I have it somewhere....but in the middle of moving.....you how how that goes....

It is a NICE car....but should it not have clear acrylic sections in the steering wheel?....as all other 64 Custom Sports did?

Also, as I recall.....Tuxedo interiors were not available till 65...saddle and white...red and white...blue and white, aqua and white...but NOT black and white...Correct me if I'm wrong

Can't speak for '64 but my original '65 CS steering wheel doesn't have a clear section like so many do. Mine is 2 tone blue.
But my interior is also the Ponchtarain, which is partial vinyl and partial cloth seats - only 2 colours came like this - fawn and gunmetal.

1964 CS steering wheels should have clear acrylic sections. They are/were prone to UV damage (crazing and cracking) and are rare to find in good shape.

That's what I figured....never seen an original (unmolested) 64 OR 65 CS without one...

I checked my series 7000 parts manual a few years back...and as I recall,....at the beginning...they listed all of the possible interior color combinations...and don't remember seeing black and white listed....
