The smaller diameter air cleaner makes me think this car has a 283 2-barrel, not a 327 4-barrel. Maybe the seller sort of knows that the 327 2-barrel was the standard V8 in 1968 and just made the assumption.

I think that is the correct air cleaner for the base engine in the 68 2+2, the 2 barrel 327, at least from what I've seen over the years.
