Just shows you how important it is when you present a vehicle to potential buyers that you want to sell to,

especially when your asking a good $$ for the vehicle.

Can't fault any buyers for showing no interest when presented with little effort to showcase the car your selling.

Car is a beauty.

1954 Chevrolet Corvette Resto Mod Convertible

Auctioned on Saturday, July 9, 2016

Sold at $77,000

  • Engine Displacement: 283
  • Transmission: Manual

This Corvette as you see it began with a frame off restoration and finished with the remarkable resto mod offered here. From the glass like paint finish in a glowing Cherry Wine hue to the five spoke alloy wheels with blackwall tires, the quality of the construction is evident throughout. The subtle custom hood blends ideally with the crisp styling of the first generation Corvette. The interior has been modernized with aftermarket instrumentation and seating for a enjoyable driving experience without taking away from the essntial elements that remind you of the classic Vette. Pictures of build available.

Yeah Shiky, I think you did more than alright... You'll find an SD and have plenty of $ leftover. Realistically you'll just need to keep looking and possibly will need to send whatever car you find out for some additional work to get it up to the standards you want, but like you said before that would take some time... There's probably a mix of them out there, many being older amateur resto's, and some being fresh and high quality...

Good luck with your search! And post pics of what you find!
