1966 Beaumont Sport Deluxe with recent off frame restoration with all brand new interior, all original 283 motor with power glide transmission. The car is in mint condition, I am the second owner since it was new and have owned it for 30 years. It is a very rare car. Asking for $50000 or best offer.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
I think $50,000 could be the new 1966 Sport Deluxe hardtop SBC value / with original 327-4 barrel & all the trim installed. - high performance numbers match v8 with 4 speed & posi, (factory ordered with "go fast goodies") would certainly add more value Just don't see many old cars (from mid 1960's vintage) commanding $50K, with the 283/powerglide combo (non tire smoking, lacking HP).

I suspect he is trying to recover some of the restoration costs. I'm familiar with this car and the
body shop that restored it. The owner did very little work himself and had no rechroming done at
all. If you can believe it, a nice new paint job and puts back on all the pitted bright work minus the
Lower mouldings. Extremely overpriced IMO.
is a sd worth that much more than a custom I would never get tat for mine convertible
I think a 66 SD in 6 cyl or 283-v8 in automatic form, would be worth a premium, over a Custom with bench seat / car quality being equal.
- maybe not so much cost difference, re. Sport Deluxe compared to Custom with factory buckets & console option / in low HP configuration
A 1966 Sport Deluxe with top 327 or 396 with 4 gear, 12 bolt & strato buckets, is another story on $$ potential / due to rarity and >> desirability.
- in 66 Chevelle, the top dog is L78 (396/375 4spd) / also in '66, the Chevelle was available with the L79 (327/350HP) option ^^ Collector Value in these two examples, dwarfs the low HP S/S purchase prices considerably- one guy in the States, kept one of the VIN's and rare ownership's, due to sentimental value- it was not for sale, but he still got an offer of $10,000 for it, avoiding a fake creation
Personally, I like the Custom trim line on the tops of the fenders & door with the rocker panel molding, in the 1966 Beaumont / clean look.
- rather rare cars are difficult to value, for many appraisers / given few excellent candidates being sold / selling history, nearly non existent
Leading to - "whats its worth / often anybody's guess"...but seller has failed to analysis, all of the potential variables / that determine price.
- like the selling price of a 1963 Corvette split window, is not a good judge of a '63 convertibles worth
- nor does the asking price of a Hemi Cuda reflect the true Challenger value, with an original 383 Magnum
