Sounds like it would be worth investigating if you're looking for a 69

Note the short armrest in the bare bones car.  I think Dave Plummers 69 has the same short armrest.

Awesome car.
My dad had a similar coloured '68 Malibu back in the day.
I think the official colour name was "Smoke Grey".
Always loved it.
Buy it Todd!

I'd really love to have it. I sent the ad to my sister and she says "Go for it!". That's the same model my dad had. Sadly I don't think it will fit in my tiny garage which is only 16 feet long.

Whitecourt is about a 4.5 hour drive for me, but if someone really needs me to check it out I can make the journey.  Edmonton is a lot closer if a member there could take a peek.

I could make a day of it and snap a few hundred pics...I think it's about a 2 hour drive? I could bring a tape measure too. :)

Surprise your wife with it. Easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

My wife has no problem with it. It's a matter of $$. Funds are tight right now and I missing a 10 hour shift tonight thanks to another flareup of the damn gout. I've been fighting it since early may and have missed 4 days of work thanks to it. Spent 4 hours at the hospital tonight and got a new drug for it. No help yet... I've been pretty much eating like a rabbit (no meat) for a month and had one cheat yesterday for Fathers day and I was up at 4am in pain..

How about a "get a '69 Strato Chief for Todd" campaign?  Would only take 200 people at $20 per person, 100 at $40 per, 80 people at $50 per person... etc.

For all Todd has given to provide the hobby with this unique site, a Canadian Poncho official car seems like a good payback to me...

Is there any way we could make this happen?

Count me in, but we still have to get it shipped.

I appreciate you guys talking about this however I don't even know if it would fit my garage. Could an owner of a 69 Pontiac provide the length measurements?

20' x 8' sounds about right...my 2+2 measures 18' from nose tip to tail. Count me in for $50 USD!

I'm in for $50 as well, if Todd agrees and the car checks out.

Would be very cool if we could make it happen!

I need to measure my garage first. I'd feel really weird if you guys bought the car though. Maybe we could do this through site donations? I could purchase the car through the business and use it to promote the site. I dunno. I still feel kind of weird about it.

Count me in. $50 to the car or to support the site.

We could tag team hall the car. I know if it can make it to a Regina I won't have a problem getting it to Winnepeg.
