There aren't as many mint examples of these around as you'd think there would be. Many were driven into the ground. Nice to see one that's untouched and I think the price is fair

I would have to say that my 1986 Monte Carlo SS was my all time favourite car. These cars were hard to get new, GM Canada had a limited supply. I was told a limit of 2 in 85/86 for selected dealers. I just missed buying the second of two at Golden Mile Chev Olds in July of 1985, a maroon bench seat non AC car.
I ordered mine from the 1985 option list in August of 1985 from Hogan Chev Olds and paid $15,700 and believe it of not I put $50 down on it, still have the receipt! It was a low risk proposition because if I bailed the car would have sold in a second. It came November 10, 1985 and the sports mirrors and wheels were quite a pleasant shock as they had been significantly upgraded from 1985. Mine was the 40th SS down the line in Arlington for 1986 models.
I loved that car, it took us all over Ontario. By 1992 the third baby had come and I just traded that old 6 year old car with 88,000 km in on a Bonneville. I got $6,500 on trade.
