Speaking of tape players reminds me of a 1970 Grand Prix I had years ago that had factory tape player mounted behind the center console, very strange location!!

 At least you wouldn't bang your elbow on it there. I tried out a brand new '69 Z28 4 speed once and it had an 8 track mounted in the front of the console! Very strange indeed. Didn't all 8 tracks come with a complimentary book of matches to adjust the tape angle so they would play correctly?
