I know its not a Pontiac but I really like this site and have used it many times to help me with my Oshawa bulit 66 Nova. Its originally a Regal Red on red V8 car. Now an L79 look a like with a Muncie and a 12 bolt. Small journal 327 with 10.3:1, forged bottom, double humps, 490 intake, Holley 600, headers etc...
Thanks for all the help!

Have you heard about The Regent Theatre Car show in Oshawa.
Every Tue night there is a car show at the theatre from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm and then we adjourn into the theatre for an old car movie.
Lots of 50-60 music in the parking lot.
The Cannonball Run has been shown and just last week it was The California Kid.
Next Tue :::

Thanks fellas...the car runs real well. Broke the engine in on Sunday. That was stressful with all the horror stories of flat tappet cams and all. I chose an older and milder cam without crazy springs to sacrifica a bit of power for some longevity. Used a 280 Comp cam. It seems to run great so far. Timed at 10 initial, 32 advance and so far im happy. It idles nice and lopey at 650 RPM. Here are a couple more photos. Its my first restoration. Want to do another soon. I built it to drive, not to look at. Underside isnt quite so pretty, lol. Did everything except the paint myself. Tackled my first headline a few weeks ago. Not too bad of job, next one will be even better, isnt that how it works?

Just keep rpm's up above 2000 for the first 2-30 minutes, no problem breaking in a flat tappet cam, eh? Motor looks great!
