Hey guys - check this out...

If I didn't have my well-on-it's-way '65 Beaumont already, I'd be all over this. Just a few miles away from me too. Hopefully it finds a really good home  :  http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/1965-Pontiac-Parisienne_27983578

Too bad the pictures weren't better but it sure looks decent. The heads definitely are from a later engine but it still has the original style intake manifold on top.

I had one of those when I was 18 years old - the car was only 10 years old at the time, but it was just a 500 dollar beater. Not worth saving, even then. ( Rough life ). The '65 Parisiennes were beautiful cars though...BIG CARS, and proud of it. : )
Your '66 Strato is a dream find, by the way. Two thumbs up on that. V-8 / 3 in the tree ? It doesn't get any better.

Thanks, I agree, I was lucky to get this car. I drove it a bit tonight, once again it made me smile! I never thought it would be fun to drive a 3 on the tree because that's what I grew up with in a 66 Malibu wagon and a 65 GMC pickup, but now, 40 years later, I love it! (May have to eventually hang a 427 on the front of that trans though...)

I really like 65's too, even though I joke that they make great parts cars for 66's!!!

Carl - If you ever did a 427 3-in-the-tree build - I'd buy tickets to ride in it. The closest thing I remember to that were the rare 327 3 speed column shift GM Plain-Janes and wagons from '62 to '69. Don't joke about '65s ! In '66, GM started moving toward newer era cars...'65 GMs still had some recognizable body features tracing back to the earlier days. I think '66 was the turning point - by '67, GM cars were reborn.

Well, save your money for a plane ticket to Winnipeg in about 3 years because I'm hoping that once we are moved in to our new home in town and all settled in, maybe I will finally have time for cars again. First on the agenda is to build a 427...

3 years ? Okay - that certainly allows for breathing space. :)

I like to be prepared!

I think a 3 on the tree 427 combo would be pretty cool. And the part I like about doing that is I don't have to cut the car up in any way to do it. I will keep all the original stuff and it can easily be returned to original.

Methinks you'd no doubt have a 1-of-a-kind if you pulled it off, Carl. Go for it.
