This is a 60's Pontiac reel out trunk light in very nice condition. In good working condition including the mercury switch. It attaches to the underside of the trunklid. The wire is long enough to reach the front of a full size.
These are getting very hard to find in this condition, nice finish and all aspects working. It includes the wiring harness that connects to the power source.
Jerel, if you have any worries about dealing with Jerry (OldGoat), I can put your mind at ease. He and I have been friends for more decades than I'm willing to admit!
He's a bit new with navigating here on CP. I was at his house tonight helping him get set up to sell some pieces on here. If he happens not to reply to your PM, let me know, because it's likely because he doesn't remember how I showed him to find them and reply!

Not sure if this is the right way to do this or if I should be starting a new thread. I would like to re sell this light as I haven't found a spot in my trunk where I feel comfortable mounting it. Asking $75 plus actual shipping costs.
Jerel, you do know you can install a factory GM trunk light in a 64 beaumont, there is a spot for it already stamped in the sheetmetal, and wiring is easy. Its a merucury tyle and was the same one that came stock on such models as 64 impalas
I put one in my 64 beaumont if you need pictures.
Of couse, that style does not reel out.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
The lens on the reel out light looks a lot like a back up light lens from a 55/56 Pontiac. Can you read the numbers and lettering on the lens so I can compare them to the 55/56.
These were used on the US Ponchos!!! I don't think the Canadian Pontiac's had this style light. My 64 Catalina had a "boss " on inner trunk lid that this lamp fit into

That would be great Dave if you could post a picture. I'm not concerned with the reeling out but would like to have a light there for packing up in the evenings.

Thanks Al
Al, all I could find was 3 really small numbers on the edge lip and they were 691.
I bet you could find a bright LED that will fit in the factory bulb socket. That way with the low power consumption you could run it for hours without fear of killing the battery. Handy if you had to do work at night on the side of the road.
cutting a roof off a four door is NOT a convertible.....
65 Parisienne convertible.one of 49 built for RHD export market,402BBC, T400, 2500 stally, posi rear, upgraded brakes with front discs, FUEL FAST efi custom built by me.
I took a few pictures to show the light in the trunk of my '66 Parisienne. Just as Carl mentioned that the space is there you just have to mount it. Hope this is of some us to you and others. Even with the car being over 18 ft. I will still reach to the engine.
