Just bumping this up. It's getting a little tight in the CP bank account. I just paid last months hosting fee ($79) and earlier renewed the CP domain name. That left a whopping $1.29 in the account. And just to be up front I have claimed about $200 so far this year to cover my time maintaining the web site. We still have a lot of window decals remaining and hope to be ordering t-shirts soon (I usually have enough in the CP account to order but not this time. I'm too busy with work to try to organize and track pre-payments) . Every little bit helps folks.
Thanks
Todd
We've had 6 people (out of 5303 members) donate since I bumped the message (one person donated and bought a key chain which is really great!). I do want to thank those of you who have donated and/or bought swag prior to my reminder. I suspect some members don't read all the "recent posts" and only read a certain sub board and therefore don't see these support posts.
Just made a small $25 donation to help out. I don't have a paypal account, but at the link Todd provides at the bottom of the page you can select to pay as a paypal guest. All you need is a credit card, and it's like any other form of online shopping.
Todd puts a lot of effort and time into keeping this board going, and he shouldn't have to support it financially as well. IMHO if many of us make a painless donation, like $25, it will add up and help Todd to keep it going so that we can all continue to benefit from this site.
Thanks Todd, for all you do here. For me, it's a great place to come and keep up with the hobby even though I don't currently have an old Canadian Pontiac, and I've seen for others it has helped them find hard-to-get parts, or even cars that they were looking for. I know many friendships were started here as well as it's a great place to meet like-minded individuals.
We all benefit in one way or another, and it's only fair that we give back when we can.
Just a shout out to the 14 people who donated to the site since my initial post. I truly appreciate you support! We should be good for another 2-3 months.
My hat's getting old and ragged looking. Too many days wearing it when the temp outside was way too hot, one too many times wearing it when I was painting something white by the look of it.....
I'm ready for new CP hats when the time is right for you to do them Todd. I know you have more on your mind right now than hats though.
Please remember in tough times, don't forget your friends !
$ 100.00 sent to Todd.
The car looks great. Will be even nicer when the GP grille is installed (that's what I put in mine too). For wheels - I know folks will think this is crazy - but I like the original 14 by 6 wheels with dog dish hubcaps and a 225/75/14 red or white stripe tire.
Having said that, your current wheel and tire combo also looks great.
Matching contribution will be sent to Todd in support of maintaining the site.
Here is what the grille looks like in my white 69 Pontiac. I lightly blacked out the mesh because that looked better for my car, but the grill looks great as it comes as well.
