Looks like it will be from Aug 26-Sept 4 Thinking of taking #5 from Princeton to #1 going through Banff. Google says 20 hrs from Princeton to Stoney creek MB. I can handle 10hrs a day driving but not sure the rest of the fam can. Thinking 3 days, would put us in MB on Monday.

Being the long weekend you might find a number of guys absent for that weekend if we are going to work on a coffee break Jim. Do you think you would stick around until Tuesday night?

Thinking I should be in MB by Mon Aug 28th, think the next weekend is the long one(Sept 4th). Have to be back at work for the 5th...think I'd have to have a couple more HP under the hood to make it back in a day or two.

Who you going to see in Stoney Creek?
Better put Stony Mountain in your GPS or maybe I should send you a highlighted map in the mail.

Carl has a good idea maybe Johnee could be here the same week. An East meets West summit.

Getting close...bit of an update. Looks like it will be just my son and I cruising to MB. My wife thinks cruising for 50 hrs with no A/c in a cramped car won't be that much fun...can't say as I blame her, a lot of hrs in a car in the heat! Just think how many pounds Doug would shed...beer would be pouring out! My daughter(15) has a boy friend!!! Plus not a lot of room in that back seat for traveling(not a B body). Still plan to get off the rock on Fri Aug 25. Will contact members when cruising into their town or will post where I'm heading.Plan so far is Vic to Cranbrook-Regina-Stoney Moutain-Prince Albert-Edmonton-Salmon Arm and a few places in between. My son and I are both looking forward to it,he has about 80 hrs of music on a mem stick! Should be a good 10 day run.smile

Is Johnee going to meet us at Carl's? We could always blind fold Carl so they don't see eye to eye!

Jim,

Hope you'll make a pit stop here in Calgary sometime on your trip.

We have a "Canso"  special going on in a bed and breakfast for you and you son.

We'd love to have you two stay here during your trip.

-George

I can't see why that won't work Jim. Likely west or north side of the city would be best if you are going to be around Dans place.

I'm sure we can work with what ever, give a chance to show him around the city a bit. Most stuff at my end is pretty busy. Sounds like the Robins you were at last was pretty empty. Nice little drive through the heart of the city.
