A friend of mine is in contact with a couple of fellows visiting here from Sweden looking for unique Canadian Pontiac's. What's me to contact him if I hear of anything solid for sale.
I got a note today from the fellow I sold the car to. The fellow in Germany that he sold the car to has rebuilt the motor. It needed a gasket rebuild and a paint job, sounds like the guy did a total rebuild. Here's a couple photo's, check out the front license plate on the car.
It's had more work done on it over the past 7 years than in it's entire life. I was asked when selling it what would the next thing I'd do if I kept it. The bushings really needed attention (which was done by the guy I sold it to), and the engine needed a gasket rebuild & paint job. That's now been done & more.
Plus the guy I sold it to upgraded to power steering & disc brakes. I'm sure the new owner will enjoy cruising the Autobahn in it.
I'm glad that it's having all this work done to it, but I can't help but feel a little regret that it will likely never make its way back to Canada again.
Sorry guys, I guess that I'm just a patriotic Canadian and it really bothers me when our unique historic vehicles are bought and shipped overseas... can't help the way I feel about this.
