Yes, Kevin, perfect fit. The only thing that stands out is the "Pontiac" on the slide bar when you install it in a Beaumont.

I was thinking the same thing, likely a slim majority would think it's just perfect!  Is that trim the same size from am to fm? Is it removable?

Kevin, are you wanting the look of am/fm or the function? The stock am radios with the modern guts conversion work so nice and you can amp them up too if you want a better sound system. Get to run your own music as an option. I just put in a souped up speaker in the original location and just love the sound. Not that expensive neither.

Bonus of that is you will have a better overall performing radio and options than stock but will look exactly as the original.

Had my AM radio converted to AM/FM a few years ago by a fellow in Cranbrook..still looks origional but has the FM!! Also installed 2 speakers in rear deck, and this winter installed 2, 4"X 6" speakers in the kick panels. Took some cutting to get them in, but they look and sound great! Have black plastic grills on them also, so they look like a factory installed option ( that was only available on the Chevelles)!

Hi Jerel. Thanks for the info about the radios. I had assumed I would need an AM/FM unit. But if I want to just put new internals in my stick AM radio- I can have FM and Bluetooth from my iPhone (iTunes), AND upgrade the sound? That would be nice.

Yes, actually one of the guys that does many of them out west was at the Tradex.  His name is Larry and has changed his business name, something like Vintage Radios or something or maybe that was the old name.  Interesting is the guy that shared a booth with him.  His name is Bill and is set up just out of Edmonton.  He is one of the best known guys for just fixing anything old like this.  I've been out to his place and everywhere is old car radios.  When I talked to him Friday he figures he has over 5000 old radios.  Ships them all over the world.  About a hundred years old and looks like the guy from Back to the Future.  Super interesting guy but not sure if people would send him their stuff if they saw his place.  A couple of bombs have gone off but he knows where everything is.  Haven't been to Larry's place but he did my radio.
