Do you have a rough idea as to what he wants for the car?

this car is cool even the beach boys made a song about 409's. open your hood on this car and everybody smiles .we all look at this car and imagine driving it.
Hi guys here's the DOC sheet on this rare car!! Anyone need any more info or would like to get in touch with the owner send me a PM with your number and I will call you , It will be listed as well on CL soon
Hmmm. I was just there Tuesday and I could swear he told me it was sold to somebody in the US. Guess I stand corrected.
There was a gentleman interested from the US but didn't pan out , this is an extremely rare Canadian car and should stay in Canada and be restored , its very fairly priced as well.
Surprised how little info is listed on that GM document. The 409 4 speed that was the monthly feature car last year said "He also learned from the group that looks after the GM archives that there were only two Pontiac Parisienne, two doors in 1963 that had the 409 engine, 4 speed and police package. The other one could also be a coupe or a convertible, the information available did not discern between these two body styles."
Would 5392 be production number for all 63 coupe and convertibles? Or maybe all V8 coupes and convertibles?

They didn't start detailing options on the paperwork until the 1964 model year.

You know, the Powerglide behind the 340-horse 409 isn't anywhere near as bad as you might think. Even the mild 409 is a strong and torquey engine and it will boss that Powerglide with brute force. It has both the torque and the willingness to wind out & breathe hard when called upon. It would take a lot of work to restore but that car deserves it. As was said, cars in worse shape have been brought back. Super rare with a 409 I should think.
The production figure would be for the same model number, so that would mean total production of all V8 Parisienne convertibles that year was 5392 . Surprisingly high, but I guess convertibles were quite popular in 1963. 409s were a tougher sell to thrifty Canadians though. I can still hear my dad say, "the more horses you have, the more you have to feed them."

Rumor has it this car is heading to the states !!!
Bill, is there something you need to share with us?
All I know is if the car ends up with you then it is in good hands! I'm just remembering your former '68 SD396 convertible & '66 L79 Acadian. And your '67 SD396 convertible. Plus your dad's '68 SD396 convertible.
