If anyone is wanting to switch over from a column shift to floor shift on a '69 Beaumont and wants the column to match (getting rid of that after thought of a shift quadrant). I found an alternative to trying to find a complete floor shift column that fits. I found a used floor shift column from a mid-seventies Chevelle and swapped the column upper and mid housings. I think they are called bowls. For safety reasons I removed the steering lock pin. It made a nice swap. There's probably a lot of seventies columns that would work. I forgot to take a picture of the completed job but here's one of the parts used.
So if I have a decent shape '67 Parisienne floor shift non tilt column, I could convert it to a correct looking tilt column without spending a lot of money?

Not so sure you can mix and match tilt verses non tilt parts. I'm not familiar with the older tilts though.

Do you need a 67 tilt John?

"Need" is a word that is open to interpretation. LOL. I'd love to have another '67 Tilt for something I've had my eye on awhile. Tilt is a big deal at my height. Getting and and out mostly. I have an extra '67 column shift non tilt steering column I could sell or convert to Tilt possibly? Back to your question...... Yes. I NEED a 67 tilt! And a nice black 67 Steering wheel! And.....
I used a tilt column out of a 1981 Camaro when I built my 69 Beaumont. Had to shorten the column a bit on the steering box end and re-pin the electrical connector but otherwise it bolted right in. Lots of 2nd gen Camaros and Firebirds out there to get these from.
