Welcome here from southern Manitoba.

I think you'll find this site a great place to be with your Pontiac.

Trying to run Vin but gonna have to go to license bureau for full info..it is a 63 with a 6 cylinder but wondering if it's factory cause browsing it says only 62 came with 6 an 63 had 283.

Something amiss there, 63's certainly were available with a 6.

Perfect. 283's are great engines. (Yes, I'm old school)

Did you get it with all the brackets etc that you need for the conversion?

Welcome.
Post the info off the firewall data tag and our group, of which you are now a member, will decipher all the codes. Plus you could also send the VIN to GM Vintage Vehicle services and receive their info package on your car.

Looks like a really good car and welcome.

63 was the first year for the 230 six which replaced the venerable 261.

283, 327 and 409 V8's were all available in 63 too.
