Looking into an aluminum 3 row rad for my 64 beaumont, i want it to look like an original shape tank, so i am looking at this one by KKS. I know nothing about them, anyone have one? also, still using OEM green coolant with it? i am sure there are cheaper junk ones, but this one is the only style with the nicer looking tanks.
Thanks to cdnpont for his recommendation of Champion Radiators. My Impala is as cool as a cucumber, even today sitting stuck in traffic that was going no where. With the addition of the AC I knew I would need a better rad. The copper re-core that I had custom built would have a hard time keeping it below 210.
The aluminum rad now has a nice custom shroud around the rad.
Is that comparing to a 69-70 style or earlier Clint? You've likely seen the earlier rads have them far apart, and then the later ones are just a couple of inches apart as I recall.

The one in my link has the trans lines in the correct spot for me, the only difference i can see is the drain is at the back instead of on the bottom, but not a big deal for my application.

The rads I've seen for my 70's have the trans cooler fittings almost a foot apart.
At on point I was going with an aluminum rad, but instead had my dual recored as a triple. (Everything lined up of course.)
I'm looking at doing the same thing for my Nova with the upgrade to a big block. I've got an aluminium rad in my Beaumont that doesn't cool the 350 near as well as the original 2 core did in the Nova. I'm thinking that once I get the Nova set up and running I'll be going back to upgrade the rad in the Beaumont and turf the aluminium one.

Several months ago, when I rebuilt my 427, I put a Dewitt's aluminum radiator in my 68 Beaumont. It was a good bit more expensive than the eBay radiator posted above but my running temperature dropped by 20 plus degrees.

Further to this discussion, I was just looking at this one. It drops down in the middle for the cap, much like the stock units. Guru and I were just talking about this on Monday.
That looks almost exactly like the KKS one that i bought, EXCEPT mine is flat acrross the top, and WILL NOT fit in a 64 Abody, i did some measuring and it is all the same dimensions as an original tank, except for the filler neck, and it sticks up too high and you cant close the hood. Perhaps it would work in a full size car, you can measure it if you want, but its useless to me unless i cut up the top tank
The one you picture, will probably work fine.

I got a pretty good price for it, and by the time i got it would have been to late and too much trouble to send back, it is nicely made otherwise. You are welcome to try it out for fit if you want.
If you end up ordering the one with the recess cap, i wouldnt mind test fitting it in my 64. the one you show is a steal of a price too. hard to beat.
