Any tricks for signal light cancelling cam?

My signal light seldom cancels when I turn the one direction, maybe once in ten. Works fine the other direction. Have it apart now and everything looks intact, not much wear as I had put a new one in when I restored the car. When I turn it, it just wants to kick it about half the way back. Looks like I should be building something up to give it a little extra. Any solutions out there besides the obvious of trying another one.

It seems to me that someone posted about this while back and they had removed it, heated it up with a heat gun and gently reshaped it back to its original form.

Will take a picture here later as I put a metal sleeve around it. Took a chunk of brake line and drilled it out, cut a slot, and then put it on giving it an extra 1/16". Metal shouldn't wear down as fast as plastic.

image.jpgSo this is the little sleeve. Gives me that little extra height and shouldn't wear out.

No patent, still in the testing stage.  I'm thinking 10-12 years of testing should suffice.
