Parisienne Custom Sport Emblems

Recently pulled these off a survivor type 64 Custom Sport  (for detailing).

One owner car till I bought it....17 years ago......with one cheap respray    in the eighties...

Note the white paint accent of Sport....

Most other emblems I've seen do NOT have this white detail....and am assuming that it flaked off over the years?

I've looked closely at the showroom brochure......but can't really tell.

I'll check my NOS ones Brian ... it's been a while since I've looked at them, so I can't recall.

Have a set of 64s and they have traces of white paint.

I have wondered this too. The old blue hardtop had traces of white on the sport emblems. My convertible none. My nos Parisienne quarter emblems have none?!?!? I have no idea what to think.

I'm thinking that the factory installed ones WERE detailed white......and paint on top of chrome plating doesn't bond very well.....

Most owners...after a few years would have prolly removed what was left of the white paint.....leaving a totally chrome finish there...

I have one NOS piece....and it has NO white paint on it....just red on the Custom part.......so I'm guessing the service parts were left shiny....on the SPORT part
