It's been a long time since I've seen one of these come up for sale. This one has the 343 "Typhoon" with a 4 speed an posi. Would be a great car restored but would cost a lot to refurbish. There's next to nothing repopped for these cars.
Very rare AMX.. Needs to be restored.. all glass is good.. all interior is there but needs to be redone.. 343 4bbl.. 4 speed.. posi track.. could be restored using all original panels.. a few small spots in floor and small area around trunk.. buying another car so selling this one.. very solid car.. $4200.. May consider trades but prefer cash.. call/text 9028401622.. or email
For some reason there are a lot of Javelins on this tiny island (PEI), have you noticed this Todd?

I've seen a couple. I understand there was a popular AMC dealer in Charlottetown back in the day. It was owned by the parents of the general manager who now works at Reliable Motors. When I had my 89 Cherokee he told me they only just tossed out hundreds of NOS parts for these vehicles a couple of years prior! Who knows what else they had for other AMC vehicles.
There's a guy into AMC's in Amherst, Ron somebody. He sells a lot of old car manuals.
My cousin rebuilt a 71 or 72 Javelin, 401 4 speed, bright yellow with black trim. Its his wife's car and he's a Dodge man, doing a 60 Plymouth wagon, done a 340 Hang 10 he put a 383 in, etc.
AMX's were pretty fast back in the day, a buddy had one it was geared high and would do about 130+ MPH.

I've met your cousin Don, Marty's a really good guy, and all his cars including the Javelin are nice.

See his 340 Cuda he's currently working on? He has a godawful Dodge addiction.

An older picture of a hot for the time '70 Javelin SST 390 Go pkg with Ansen wheels & Mark Donohue rear spoiler. Check out the tires.
That AMX in Annapolis could utilize a later common 360 block out of a Wagoneer (just a larger 343), then set it up it heads & stuff from Edelbrock. Fun car when done, but getting there would be a challenge with so little restoration support.
Todd, I can't find a current pic, but his goal will be something like the one below, very stock. Has a 413 push button and looking for a big cross ram, if anyone sees one of those.

I love the 60 Plymouths as they are so bizarre. I almost bought a 60 wagon about 18 years ago. It was in Guelph Ontario. I decided it was too rough to restore.
It's back for sale. Not sure if it's the same owner. Price is lower and the engine is out of the car.
Very solid 68 AMX.. needs restoration.. original motor and 4 speed trans is out of car.. Will not take any less than $4000.. I have more pics if you are interested..
Curious that they would take the engine/trans out of it and ask a firm price which probably would have been the negotiated price from the first ad.
Also, the pic on the trailer in the orig ad looks like the front suspension is sitting a little high (tire's flat which makes it look lower overall, but larger than normal gap between tire and wheel arch) - maybe it was already out then?

I guess that they worded the first ad wrong? It is a 343/4 speed car, but they are just not there anymore.
I've seen many ads that they say it is a big block car with gaping hole under the hood.
