help adjusting trunk lid

Hey guys i need some help adjusting one side of my trunk lid.this beaumont was recently painted with all panels taken off.one side of my trunk lid is about 1/8th of an inch too high on both rear window side and bumper side.Note only needs adjustment on one side20171027_135801.jpg.it was never like this.upon painting car body man had a huge wrench holding the hinge down to mask trunk so wondering if this is the cause..my question is there an adjustment on the hinge inside the trunk to maybe bring hinge down a little.

try washers or body shims on the hinge and make sure you tape all edges when  test fitting

i would think putting body shims in between hinge and body would just lift the lid higher.like ss acadian said i wish i can just give it a whack at the edge of the lid.

Sometimes you need two guys. I've climbed in the trunk with flashlight and had a guy on the outside check fit while I checked hinge for binding/adj. Sometimes they get tweaked and worn pins over the years. Have always adjusted with springs out (easyer).
