can anyone tell me where the overdrive manual cable mounts on a 55 Pontiac (what side of the steering colum)

I don't know that I've seen a 55 specifically but I've seen many other years and they've always been to the right of the column without exception.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would answer.  I had a 55 Laurentian with OD and the cable handle was on the right side of the column.
