I sold a set of 14x7 1969 JK code pontiac rallye wheels a year ago that were for 1969 Grand Prix and 1969 Firebird Ram Air. They were worth a lot of money and I am sure the rarity of the ones you are looking for will drive the price up. Check a Hollander manual for different applications to look for.
Yes Indeed I have been spending some money lately. Too Bad the car was not ordered with the honey comb wheels as they are less difficult to locate. Found a four core rad in the USA reasonably priced but I am sure the shipping will be insane. Found the sandalwood deluxe steering wheel and missing interior parts recently locally. Also came across a package deal on NOS weatherstrip locally the timing has all hit at Xmas time I will have to use the Visa Card for groceries and presents. HO..HO.. HO. Plus I am working on my chevelle project hope to have the body back on frame Xmas weekend when there are more helpers around the house.
Years ago, I met a fellow with an Oshawa built 70 GTO Judge convertible and he had cleaned and welded over the non matching stamping and then restamped the appropriate code on the rim for his application.
Ultimately I guess it depends at what level your restoration is going to be.

That is strong money on the ebay auction. l have purchased items from that particular seller "Weaver Family" in the past the freight is same price as the wheels. The idea of re-stamping blank rims with no codes makes good sense. Do all Pontiac 15X7 rally wheels with 5 x 4.75 lug pattern have the same backspace offset?
Those early Trans Ams are certainly some of the nicest ones made. And those Rally II's look great on there.
A few years ago, I visited my widowed friend in the US. She still had the original Rally II's and white letter bias ply tires her husband pulled off the 71 he bought brand new. I know she sold the car shortly after I was there and I think she sold the wheels and tires with it, but I can check if you like.

So, how can you tell the 14" centre? We have 5 of those wheels kicking around, but I'm guessing they're newer...just based on the volume of how many made...
Ok.....picture 1 and 2 are the real deal.....(70-72)
Picture 3 and 4 are the generic 73 on up....(these were off a 79)...with rounded trim rings
Picture 5 shows the correct 70-72 trim ring.....with the flat edge
The late wheel has 2 almost identical steps in the barrel.....from tire edge to center....
The top step on the early wheel is similar.....but second step has a more gradual roll to it.....and would be 1/2" deeper....to accommodate the smaller 14" center

The guys that know these cars........DO know the details......and YES.....it is very important to have the correct wheels.
Modifed Trans ams do not command the $$$ that bone stock ones do....in those years
If a 70-72 TA is even remotely CLOSE to appearing stock.....that is the first thing that gets their attention....
Production for the three years was about 6600 total.....not rare....but definitely low production...
70 1/2 was 3200......and there was NO optional Trans am wheel...and by 1975.......a lot of the factory wheels went in the dumpster......being replaced by centerlines,cragars,etc.
In 71 and 72.....the 15" Honeycomb was available....so it could be substituted......even though they are a lot heavier

Well Xmas is over for another year. Will just have to be patient on the wheel hunt. There is a gentlemen in Washington making these rally II wheels with from stock Pontiac wheel parts inventory and the wheels sell on ebay for $395 US Each.
