Vote For Your Favorite 2017 Feature Car!

It's that time again! The poll is now open to vote for your favorite 2017 feature car. The prize this time around is this high quality portable battery booster. It has enough oomph to boost everything from small 4 cylinder cars to diesels up to 6.0L. It also has dual USB ports for charging phones as well as a flashlight. Retail value is $149.99.

Thanks

I think that's the first year ever for CP that we didn't have a 67 Beaumont SD as one of the feature cars!

And don't worry, I'm not complaining that there's been too many of them in years past, I happen to appreciate them as much as most of us here do.

Indeed. I'd like to find a survivor zero (or almost zero) optioned 4 door sedan (Pontiac, Acadian or Beaumont) to feature this year. Anyone?

I almost posted the identical reply! Yet again it's been a great year for feature cars.

About 30 years ago I looked at a 69 Strato Chief (2 door) with a straight 6 and no options (other than vinyl roof) and 25000 original miles in Mt. Elgin. It was also pale yellow. What turned me off is there was a lot of rust bubbling under the vinyl top.

Cars that looked bad 30 years ago wouldn't look so bad to us now! A rusty roof on an otherwise nice 69 hardtop would be a minor issue these days.

Not sure if I have this right but cars with vinyl roof did not get painted. I bought a new 74 Olds with out a vinyl roof and had it put on after

2 wagons and a 409 currently leading, all good choices if you have to make one. I too like them all.

When does voting end?
I really can't decide on a favourite. They all have different appeals.

What a pickle to be in...

Everyone knows that 66 Pontiacs are the ultimate car. Two to choose from, both exceptional cars.

But a 65 409 4 speed? Talk about ultimate car.

And then 9 other Canadian Pontiacs besides that, none of them "run of the mill" cars...

I hate that you're making me choose, Todd!!! biggrin

As usual your opinion wasn't needed Ford boy.

By the way, I see you have mastered using the capital letter at the beginning of your sentence. Do you think you could figure out how to end it with the correct punctuation now? In this case it would have been a period.

I noticed yesterday that you had no votes Randy, and I really hoped you didn't find that discouraging.

It certainly is no reflection on your car. The competition here is vicious!

I have said for years that we need to make sure that people understand, feature cars do not need to be rare, perfect, expensive or incredible survivors. Sure we love to see that type of vehicles but the reality of it is, the foundation of Canadian Poncho is a whole bunch of very "average" examples, low horsepower, plain Jane cars. It's what's available and affordable.
