Oil filter removal?

40053288192_9a8ca5ab3c_c.jpg

The '61 was not originally equipped with an oil filter. At some point an aftermarket one was fitted. There is seems to debate as if these are useful or not. It is however in the way of brake conversion. I could move it or remove it.

The existing lines would not stretch to a new location. They were brittle anyway. So either new lines or remove oil filter. If I decide to remove the filter anyone see an issue with block either port? I should I get an oil line and loop from one to the other? Thanks.

Just plug both ports, that's how it came from the factory. (I'd added an external filter to my 1957 235)
