Would you pay $320. for a ride in a Tesla from Calgary to Edmonton return, or take a Red Arrow bus for $50 round trip?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/calgary-business-entrepreneurs-tesla-1.4514348

"For a cool $320, you can get picked up at your door in Calgary,

and be driven anywhere you want to go in Edmonton,

all while enjoying  the social cachet of a swanky Tesla.

It's a new startup company created by a young Calgary entrepreneur

with an idea, and an angel investor."

this guy is over rating people wanting a ride in a Tesla......

Don't know how he'll make any money if he spends 5 to 6 hours on the road and has to wait for

the client to head back to Calgary.....plus the wear and tear on the Tesla......?

Rosario Fortugno, CEO of InOrbis Intercity, says his Calgary-Edmonton ride service is hitting the mark with professionals who want quick, private rides to the capital.

I'll just drive myself Alex...

Is this guy looking to mile out his Tesla? Why not buy a hybrid Camry and be an Uber driver? Probably make more money without the huge up front expense.

If his auto insurance finds out he's a business driving people on the road for 6 hours a day.......

I don't think he'll get the guy going to work rate.

Don't think he'll ever match the earning he got as an electrical engineer.

Oh, and I might add C to E and back is about as much fun as driving on a treadmill. I'd do it, but there better be a good reason to go...$320 before paying my expenses is not a good enough reason. Terrible business idea!

At about $1.00 per KM, he ain't paying for the Tesla and making any kind of a wage.

Nope.

I take the TTC from Kipling Ave. Subway to T-3 Pearson Airport in Toronto (for about $3.00). Does that answer your question?biggrin

But it's a return trip for $320. So 50 cents a km. Brutal...

Taxi company here in Kelowna called Current cabs and they run Teslas. Charge the same as Yellow Cabs, well not really if you know what I mean. See them lots.
