Wow, tough decision as when to unload or see things through. I see you are the same age as me so I can fit part way into your shoes even though I only have one project to complete. Probably would be nice if you could post some pictures of the cars to give us a little feel for them. I'm not familiar with the Z03 engines and their value but was just looking at your evaluation of 25-30g. Thinking what it would take to finish these cars off to make into nice drivers. What would your estimate be? I'm guessing you are going to be 15g. minimum each with any type of a paint job, interior, convertible top, some rubber, not sure if you'd planned to upgrade from 4 bolts or that was just left over. I realize these 63-65s might be worth more than my 64 but I've got a half decent looking, driving car that is worth 15g, maybe a couple bills more on a good day. Just comparing what I can get in and drive today versus a project that has a way to go. Have you got the stock front ends on these? Just some food for thought.

Z03 is Sport Deluxe option code. 194 ci 120 (I think) HP. Current pictures are not possible until the spring garage purge. Multiple stock front ends. Hardtop is converted to 5 bolt hubs from 1964-1965 Nova. Convertible has S-10 rear axle, no front suspension. All 4 bolt hub and axles were purchased so that both cars could be restored to factory original. Interior is about $2000.00 to $2400.00 in proper SD configuration. Not sure what a top installed is currently. I think properly restored to original specs each should fetch at least $30,000. Estimate for paint on the Invader was $2500.00 (without body work).

I'll try to post whatever pictures I can A.S.A.P. I posted this in General discussion because I wanted to know if it's worth considering the sale, or if I just keep them sitting until I can finish them.

Are you able to paint it yourself then? From my discussions paint has gotten crazy expensive just for the paint let alone any prep and getting it shot. There are some guys on here with current projects that can fill us in on that. I know I spent 8 g. on my paint and body work after the metal work was done and that was 12 years ago. By the time you paint jambs and dash and all it adds up especially that is the one part of the car I haven't been able to do. I'm thinking they may well be worth much more to you than someone else now in that condition.

I haven't painted a car or truck for over thirty-five years but with a little practice on scrap I can get back in shape. A friend of mine has the paint for me that I wouldn't have to learn to spray water based. Therefore it would be somewhat easier. Plus I could setup an adequate temporary booth in my garage. So costs would be lowered that way. Since I am so out of practice with metal work, I don't think I could skimp on that part. I have not abandoned the desire to finish them but have to look at things long term.

I'm not sure if I can post a link for my post in Members Rides. But you can always search for "My two 63 SD projects" in "Members Rides"
