Not a one of a kind, our dearly departed Hillar had the identical wagon. Bought it in Florida and drove to Toronto. Legend has it the cargo area carried another spare 428 for another member on board here.
Hmmm... hard to know from the pics. The nose cone on the ebay car doesn't match the hood, but that's nothing new for '69s given how the noses deteriorate.
Probably the only way to know for sure would be to check the VIN - the ebay car's is listed as: 262469P314372
Me and my friend Mike (also a friend of Hillar's) agreed to go to Florida and drive the 69 Wagon back. I don't fly so we got a car from Toronto Driveway, i think it was a full size Cadillac and drove to FLA and arrived on a sunny Friday morning While there we hung around with Hillars friend that had done the deal for the 69 Wagon for him, our Saturday included - a trip to Orlando Speedworld Dragway where we saw and videoed Dave Butler and Arnie Beswick run and Dave almost took out Beswick because light rain slicked the track up - a stop for lunch with crappy unsweetened Ice tea and pretty good BBQ - a tour thru this great scrapyard that had lots of old stuff including a 69 Grand Prix 428 370 that was complete,we would have bought whole car and towed home but once the car goes in there is no coming out, I think those are FLA State rules - great car show that night at Old TOWN We were supposed to leave on Sunday but there was a local Pontiac show that day plus it was snowing back in Ontario On Monday we set out with Hillar's wagon and a bunch of parts we were to "smuggle" in to Canada for him that included a NOS Chevelle cowl hood strapped to the roof rack (no kidding) Me and Mike decided we should go pick some stuff of the 69 GP in the yard and when asked for some prices this is what we got "$75 for the 3:55 posi so we pulled the axles and had them cut the axle tubes for an extra $5 then we ask about 428 "$200 but we had to pull it" I was quite a scene to see them fork lift that "extra" 428 into the back of Hillar's wagon and boy did it produce quite a rake So yes Ray the legend is true as is the trip back from FLA a year previous with my 72 LeMans Endura front end 400 4bbl wagon, aka Padgetts wagon
