Cool!

Boy, I wish that picture was current. I'd be ready for some snow right about now...

If you like them, that's what matters. I just said it because I've never seen them on a Strato, only on the Grande and Bonneville (mine had them too)!

Skirts may have been standard equipment on the Grande but they were an ordered option also. My 2+2 came ordered with skirts. Personally I'm not a fan of them so don't have them. For each their own. Happy cruising. Oh and I'm loving the hood prop. When I worked at a GM dealer we would call that the special GM tool "J-2X4".

They'll fit any of them, but could have been ordered on Parisienne and above only.  Option T58 clearly says so, and cost $36.00 but was standard on the 76637/76639.  Which I mention only for accuracy on the option, run them wherever you like!

The dealer could order any of the options as "Parts" and install them.

This is what we found out about the 1969 2+2 with the Grande moldings.

If he takes them off he would have a hard time finding the wheel lip moldings.

It took me 5 years to find a set that someone was willing to part with !

Parts counter isn't what I meant.

My personal taste is that fender skirts can look nice on a car if two conditions exist: first is the wide ribbed Grande (Bonneville) moldings need to be there, just seems to go nicer that way, lengthens the car. Secondly is the car has to sit at a stock ride height in back, a car with a rake and fender skirts is like a vinyl top on a Judge... it sends conflicting messages that don't seem "right".

Like so!  But it's a personal style choice like anything else.
