Put masking tape on area to be drilled(will help with chipping the paint), also works well for marking/laying out where to drill.

Get som flat styrofoam, put a sheet of paper on top, tap down firmly, get badge, push down through paper and into foam and voila! A hole drilling guide. Masking tape on car once position marked, use guide, light centre pop, use small drill to start with then drill to size.

Probably best to get measurments and reference points from an existing car for positioning on the panel.
