Out with the old in with the new, OEM 1966 Chevrolet V-8 complete drivetrain for sale.

Now that the transplant is complete, I have all the original parts for sale from my 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne 283, PG that I turned into a SS NHRA clone class racer.  Obviously it would be preferable to sell it all as a lot.  Here is a list of all included parts.  This was a very good running, all original car prior to taking it apart.

SBC 283, complete with exhaust manifolds, carb to pan, all front accessories, power steering pump, alternator, crank & water pump pulley's.

Powerglide trans, ran very well, all trans lines, the torque converter is gone, it was mistakenly included in a load of scrap to the recycler.

Radiator, no leaks

Radiator spacer

Driveshaft

The OEM 10 bolt rearend, not sure of the stock gear, I believe the brakes have been removed.  OEM three control arms, panhard bar is gone.

Sell everything for $1,750 CDN or $1,350 USD.  Delivery may be possible from Michigan to Ontario.

I will get some pictures up in 24 hours.

I will sell parts separately, post up your request and I will quote prices + shipping.

Final shake down is this week.  Motor is in break in phase.  I've decided to go with 15" steel wheels, painted body color with poverty caps.  I could not locate any original 15x6 or 15x8 steel wheels, so I will be ordering them from Wheel Vintiques.  They make these wheels to order so delivery is 2-3 weeks out.

I was trying to determine the standard back space on 6,7,8" steel wheels.   I know they said the 15x6 on the front would clear my disc brakes.  I can go with 3.75, 4.00 or 4.25" back space on the rear 15x8 wheels.  Today or tomorrow we need to pull a rear tire and check the clearances inside and out.

I will post a picture of the engine compartment, it is great looking.  We didn't do a thing to the exterior but underneath is all new.

Be Cool Aluminum Radiator

Performance built 454, 10.9 to 1 compression ratio,  roller rockers w/tall valve covers, full MSD system, single plane aluminum intake with Demon Carb & air cleaner.

Built Turbo 400 w/external cooler

B&M Pro stick shifter

Large Auto Meter Tach w/shift light,  3 panel Auto Meter guages

Custom made driveshaft

B body SS 12 bolt rear, posi, 4.10 ring & pinion.  4 control arms rebuilt with poly bushings,  All internals are newly rebuilt.

Hooker long tube headers, ceramic coated.

I need to trailer it up to the exhaust shop for a short dual exhaust system that will side exit in front of the rear tires and setup for easy opening at the drag strip.

It is Aztec Bronze, I had a 66 Nova wagon this color.  I love it with the fawn interior.

The motor may be going to Sarnia, if so, make an offer on any remaining parts and you may be able to pick them up in Sarnia.  Everything I'm selling was working fine in the Biscayne prior to removal.

Thanks,  Norm
