I am considering making a website for all the dealerships in Toronto. A website is better I think because the names of the dealers and addresses would be indexed and organized better.

I have photos of just about every Ford dealer in Toronto. Finding photos of Chrysler dealers, for some reason, has been really difficult.

That would be cool. Remember going to a Mercury dealer on Commissioner street back around the later 70s. It's now a post office.

That would be Gardiner Lincoln Mercury off Commissioners St and Leslie! I think they opened in 1977 and closed in the early 80s. Pretty short lived.

I think it is interesting that there is no longer any GM dealer in DT Toronto and Ford only recently came back. I'd love to find a photo of Bay Ford Lincoln. I was never able to.

.........Bay Ford Lincoln.........would that have been Elgin Ford (on east side of Bay north of Dundas) in the early 60s?

Correct. Elgin Ford went out of business when Peter Pocklington went bankrupt. It was rebranded as a Lincoln-Mercury dealership. They moved quite a view times. They were on Front St originally then moved to Bay St then finally Yorkville Ave. They closed down in 2006.

Interesting about Belmont. Back in the early 90s we shot a TV commercial there on their lot after they went out of business.

In a list earlier here Belmont also had a location on Danforth. Between Robertson to the east and Hogan to the west.
