My ammeter (battery gauge) has been dead since I got this car...points straight up....never moves...
I'm pulling the dash top to swap out the radio speaker....and hope to access the gauge from the top..
Is there a simple test to try...before I install replacement...or just plug and play?

all ammeters do is show flow, in and out , a 12 volt charger set on low amps or a battery would work for a test, I just convert them to a voltage gauge, if you want function over looks.
