Hot day in Manitoba
Permalink Closed

Hot weather on the Prairies.  On the way from Morden to Wpg today the outside temp hit 40c.  I switched the system over to US and the temp was showing 103, and then hit 104 for a short period.  It was a nice, comfortable drive in the 2017 Acadia.

Yup, too hot. Like I just told Mike Ward in a PM, it's too hot to shift gears. (He and I had talked about meeting up at the Pony tonight.) Looks like my Strato Chief will stay put inside today. Maybe an air conditioned G8 ride somewhere for supper later but we may not even go outside at all.

It was a beautiful 40 degrees in Drumheller the last couple of days. Drove to Red Deer today and I am freezing in this 14 degree weather. I am actually wearing a jacketno

10:30 at night, 28 degrees. This is insane. I can't imagine life without A/C.

9 outside? Wow, an hour after my last post we've dropped all of 1 degree. Humidex dropped to 38 I see! I walked outside just now and it's like walking into a wall. This is one of the worst heat waves I ever remember.

Friday and previous  it was 38 with about 60 percent humidity, combine that with thick smoke from all the BC fires, we had no relief at night. now its freezing for two days, fall is here

Its midnight here in Red Deer. Bloody well freezing at 7 degrees. The furnace in our motor home cut in at 10:30. Thank goodness for propane. Hopefully, it will be warmer tomorrow.  hmm  I certainly am not ready for fall yet, especially because of what come next.

it was 5 last night, no furnace to kick in its all apart. with all the insulation was only dropped to 13 so it wasn't to bad, its easier to dress for the cold than undress for the heat, only so far you can strip down

Its 40c today. Feels like whatever. I used to love the heat. Now I can't stand it. This heat affects my health worse than it is....

I'm actually looking forward to the fall....

We've had a record stretch of + 20 or more days and a record stretch of + 25 or more days and humidex days are off the charts. Record July, record August.

At 10PM Friday night it was 26C and in the 30's humidex. Almost no rain this summer, except for a few storms where we got a dump of 30+ MM.

This morning it was 5 when I got up, going to 18 today, coldest day since June. Still sunny as hell, great weather for driving the 63. Forecast for Tuesday Sept 11 is humidex 34 and some rain........
