Hi,im looking for some help to decode a 65 pontiac custom sport that im in the middle of buying.I know by the numbers 76637 mean it was a custom sport v8 car and the factory colour was yellow just wondering about the rest of the numbers.
Style 76637 2-1-28
Body no. 727324
Paint Y
Trim 291
m25
Also on the serial number tag there are the letters D.D. after the GM canada stamp
Any info I can get will be helpfull, this car came with standard steering and brakes, strange, and was running a big block before the owner removed it but not sure if it was original.
Thanks for any help,Rob.
Once ive got the car home ill take some pics of it.

Can you double check that M25 on the tag? I am thinking it's likely M35 for Powerglide?

Hey Carl, yes you were right it is m35.I will have to check on the fuel line size once the car is here, that might tell me more. The poor guy that owns the car is sick and so im trying to close the deal before hes not able to find all the parts, hopefully this week the car will come home.
Others answered the tough questions. I can add that 2-1-28 means 2nd shift, January 28. The D.D. was meant to be stamped by the dealer with the actual Deliver Date. It pretty much was never done though.
