WTB: 41B primary rods quadrajet

Hi guys,

I am looking for a pair of used 41B quadrajet primary rods. Let me know if you have anything available I'm in Manitoba.

Thanks

Do you know the carb number these rods come out of? Or is this an aftermarket performance part?

Hi JC2+2,
The 41B primary rods are a factory quadrajet part and was hoping someone on the board would have a collection of rods. I was looking at carb numbers that have the rods and there are quite a few early carbs having the 0.041" rods. Even a 76 caddy qjet has them so it's all over the place.

Than you. I have some carb number information and may be able to tell what primary rods are in your quadrajet without having to take it apart.

FYI:
1966-1975* "70" Quadrajets use one length of primary needle (rod)
while
1975-1987 "170" Quadrajets use another length primary needle (rod)

I have been collecting Quadrajet parts for a while now, but becasue most of my parts are for the "70" Quadrajets I am unfamiliar with the stamping/sizes for the "170" series quadrajets.

The attached image is from a page of the 2016 Ames catalog - maybe this will help!

Thanks for the reply Johnny. The primary rods I am looking for are for 74 and older units and carry the "41B" markings so maybe you have a spare set.

$12! Just saw the attachment so unless they want $20 for shipping I'll go that route.

Thanks

Just checked online and they only have the 0.035" and the 0.043" rods with the rest being discontinued.

Still looking

I can check what I have when I get home.

Have you tried Cliff Ruggles?

Not yet as I was hoping to find north of the 49th. You know, the old make Canada great again.

I have a set of 45B and a pair of 70 jets if interested. A perfect world would trade a 71 jet and a 41B rod for my 70 jets and 45B rods biggrin

Great! And just the rods being swapped would be perfect.
