Fun stop in Washington heading to the Monroe swap meet

Stopped to look at a rusted out Beaumont convertible in Washington state and got a pleasant surprise as the owner had a nice collection of cars to show me. Spent a good chunk of the afternoon chatting with him. Should of taken some pictures of his lawn  art where he had another 6 or 8 cars sitting. One was a nice 2 door 56 Pontiac. This was another one of those talented guys who is able to do almost all of the work himself. The yellow car he bought 4 years ago and is now selling. Beautifully done with a 502 and a couple of 4 barrels and finished off with a jag rear end. See if I can get a couple pictures up here. The 59 Pontiac wagon is super solid except floors and they are going to leave it patinad. Anybody have a suitable roof rack or a wooden surf board to help him out?

That old wagon is pretty well optioned too with power windows and air conditioning. He traded 2 guns for it, not saying what the guns were worth.

Under the tarp is another 66 Nova SS making it one for each of his sons and the wagon will go to his daughter. He agreed with me that he is a pretty popular dad. Has 2 of his kids living right next to him on adjoining acreages. Real sweet location on a dead end street.

Noticed if you go to enough swap meets and sell all your parts you can park along the outside row.

Hope you had a good day down there, Did not go this year. Spent all my money already, LOL. 

Was a nice day up here, so yard work was on the list. Nice looking shop in first pics, but need the nova to come home.

Yeah was a nice day, some overcast but no rain. Only bought myself a mag concrete trowel for a buck so I can get back to work again. Watched some car racing in the afternoon at the track next door. Absolutely crazy, something I had never seen before and that was the figure 8 racing. Still never figured who was yielding as it seemed inconsistent but they never hit but sure come close. Would take a different type of balls than what Ive got to drive down there.

Have never seen the figure 8's down there, mostly just the drag racing has been on in the afternoon. 

have been to that track during sprint car season, talk about fast. 150Mph on the straights.
